Depositing the post-print version of your papers can be a way to make your publications visible to the public, as the published version is behind a pay wall on the publisher's site. You also benefit from wider and more rapid dissemination of your academic papers via Google and Google Scholar with priority indexing and ranking. You can view the number of downloads and views of your papers in the Digital Repository, to view the impact.

You also get perpetual access to your academic papers which are deposited in the NIE Digital Repository. Each record is assigned a unique and permanent URI that does not change (e.g http://hdl.handle.net/10497/51). You can also add these hyperlinks to the citations in your own website or staff profile page in the NIE portal.
